You will travel back to ancient China and play as any of 535 possible characters. Features new to this installment include multiplayer modes and quicker gameplay. Not familiar with the series, garnered from the title that this game has been around for awhile. Combining combat tactics and long-term strategy, this ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS installment takes place in third-century China, amidst a great political struggle. Choose a role and enter the action from the according level of prestige -- start from a place of prominence by choosing a Prefect, a low point on the totem pole (maybe an unknown Ronin warrior) or any place in between.
Rank will, in large part, determine responsibilities in the adventure; a ruling Leige will serve as something of a representative for the entire group, while a lower level Officer would be in charge of supervising specific troops. Whichever role chosen, the goal is to unify all kingdoms under your leadership. As per usual with this franchise, the gameplay is detailed and the graphics are simply amazing. There are also a few familiar faces from games past -- something that is sure to appeal to franchise diehard fans.
