 Game Description

Step into the batter’s box and take your best shot at one amazing take on Major League Baseball. All of the real MLB players, teams, and stadiums (including the updated parks in Pittsburgh and Milwaukee) are here, and each is presented in jaw-dropping detail. If your players’ performances don’t quite match what their real-life counterparts are doing these days, you can actually adjust the in-game stats and abilities to reflect slumps and surges. You choose how many innings you want to play, the frequency of errors, and the weather conditions.

Boasting the most in-depth stat tracking ever, HIGH HEAT BASEBALL 2002 for the PlayStation 2 allows you to play out an entire 162-game season, or to choose any portion thereof. Focusing on realistic play, the game’s magic is all in the details such as argued calls, dropped third strikes, and wild pitches. You even decide whether you’d like to play the field or sit in the dugout as the team’s manager. Up to eight players can get in on the action via two Multitaps.

  • Features all real MLB players and teams.
  • Two modes of play; adjustable stats.
  • Variable weather conditions.
  • Eight-player action via Multitap.
