 Game Description

Based on a true story. Set during the famous airdrop before the invasion at Normandy, where Sgt. Matt Baker and his squad of 101st Airborne Paratroopers were scattered over the French countryside. As the story unfolds, you must choose between the success of your mission and the lives of your men - your brothers in arms. Brothers in Arms will immerse players in the historic, eight-day invasion of Normandy - with unparalleled imagery, authenticity, sound, and gameplay.

While other WWII games have sugarcoated the war experience, Brothers in Arms is based on a true story and will immerse gamers into the gritty, uncensored and emotionally-charged side of war. The game puts you in the shoes of Sgt. Matt Baker, a D-Day paratrooper squad leader, and asks you to lead the squad as you balance their lives with the success of the mission.

The true stories and historical events you experience on your perilous journey take you through real battlefields meticulously recreated from aerial reconnaissance images, US Army Signal Corps photos and eye-witness accounts of war-torn Normandy. Players of all skill levels can battle their way through this intense experience because of Brothers in Arms innovative and accessible command and control system.

  • One of a Kind: Brothers in Arms is the only first-person tactical shooter set in WWII.
  • Real Military Tactics: Intuitive and easy-to-use squad controls appeal to both the hardcore and mainstream gaming audience.
  • Real Soldiers: Featuring a cast of more than 20 characters, each having a distinctly unique personality, appearance, and style.

This is going to be one of the most realistic ww2 games ever i cant even begin to describe to you how good this game will be. You need to see all the trailers and its finnaly coming you must get this game if you love world war 2 first you jump out of the planes in d-day and fight all over normandy and this is no moh where its run and gun. This game takes hella strategy you have to actually supress you enemys and they can use fire tactics just like your own men and you will have to flank enemys. Trust me this game will be great your men are very smart they are based on real paratroopers from ww2. You need to see the trailers for this game and if you love ww2 BUY THIS GAME!!! If you dont like the reviews on it and trailers ur dumb just wait till march and we can finnaly play it and reserve the game now!!!!

I recently read the review by David John Kitchen. Im sorry, but if you didnt read the manufacturers description, it says that photos were used by the developers from the army of the terrain in 1944. So i doubt it would actually be a caravan park. Maybe you wish it was a caravan park, i dont know. I went to Normandy in 2002 and so have many other people including veterans who participated in the landings. I'm pretty sure that the developers have got the game to with a certain historical context. It sounds like you're asking them to get it to the exact detail like it was on the day. Are you going to complain that a chimney in the game is on the wrong side of the roof whereas in real life, it was on the other side?? I certainly aint. This game is going to be a lot better than Call Of Duty (dont get me wrong im a huge fan of the game). This is more of a complaint not a review. Sorry Amazon, i just needed to get my point across. (I gave it 5 stars, as i have been on the Brothers in Arms website, seen the information on it, and it looks amazing) Without even playing it, I recommend you buy the game.It looks amazing!

Although my initial reaction to BiA: RtH30 was good, I am now starting to have deep reservations. I thought the graphics were good, sound and lighting helping to re-create the mood and atmosphere of combat. Apparently the developers spent years and bucket loads of cash meticulously recreating real Normandy terrain as it was in 1944. Trouble is, none of us were ever there in 1944 or have been since so it could just be a South Dorset caravan park for all we know...well done BiA:RtH30 team! This should be a good game. Note I say good for i don;t think this will be exceptional. Its a flawed masterpiece. The developers idea of cover is standing in the middle of an open courtyard with bullets zapping everywhere. Except those bullets never injure you or your enemy, as you are 'in cover'. The game also seems very repetitve. Run. Find enemy. Supress. Outflank. Kill. Repeat. Variations include Run. Find enemy. Supress. Outflank. Kill. Blow something up. Repeat. Sounds like an average cash in on WW2 but should be worth a rent.

Hope it's as good as Call of Duty! , January 5, 2005

This game sounds pretty good! I believe most levels are based in war torn towns in France. I hope it has an airborne drop and has blood to add to realism!
